ChatLab builds websites and AI chatbots. This page explains, in plain language, what information chatlab.in collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Enquiry form: the name, business name, phone number, email (optional), budget range and message you choose to send us.
- AI assistant chat: the messages you type, and any contact details you share in the chat.
- Analytics, only if you accept cookies: pages viewed, approximate location (country and city), device and browser type, how you arrived at the site, and how you interact with pages.
- Server logs: like every website, our server briefly records technical details such as IP address and the page requested, for security and troubleshooting.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
- To answer your questions in the chat.
- To understand which parts of the site are useful and improve them.
- To keep the site secure and block spam.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Services that process data for us
- AI assistant: chat messages are sent to a third-party AI service to generate replies. Please do not share passwords, OTPs, payment details or other sensitive information in the chat.
- Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity: used only after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. Clarity may record how pages are used (scrolling and clicks) to help us improve the design.
- Hosting and email: the site runs on a cloud server, and enquiries are delivered to us by email.
Cookies
The site works without cookies. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them. To change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will ask again.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and chat leads are kept for as long as needed to respond and to maintain our business records. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send the request through the enquiry form and we will act on it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
